Plans For After The Course
Having studied Photography for my first year of A-Levels, I fell in love with it and it became my absolute passion. I began spending little time on my other subjects which I was studying and spent the majority of my time working on my photography and shooting at any possible opportunity. This was when I realized I wanted to study Photography in my depth and detail. So I left after my first year of A-levels, coming out with a B, which I was so disappointed with as I had my heart set on getting an A. I then started at Plymouth College of Art, studying an Extended Diploma in Photography. However, I just did not click with it as much as I did at A-Level. I just did not have the jump up and go, like I did the previous year. In my free time, I don’t pick up my camera anywhere near as much as I used to. I’m not entirely sure myself why my passion for photography has died down.
When I was studying A-Levels I was certain that I was going to go to University and study photography. However, now I have no idea! I have always had a passion for fashion and beauty, such as makeup and hair. Which has definitely become more important to me as I’ve got older. So I would love to go on and do a beauty course somewhere and possibly look down the route of becoming a Make-Up Artist. However, then I feel like I will of wasted three whole years studying photography, which I may not pursue. Although I’ve looked at Fashion Photography courses, which look interesting and I think I would enjoy. Fashion and Portraiture Photography have always been my favourite, which I still thoroughly enjoy doing!
My younger sister has a real passion for makeup aswell and we have always spoken about setting up our own business, doing makeup for people, possibly for events such as weddings and celebrations and then taking photographs at the end. I am still so unsure of what I will be doing in the future, although these are just my thoughts and ideas so far into the course.
