Behind The Mask- Lauren Kenney

I wanted to look into other photographers that have looked into identity, like myself. One photographer I came across was Lauren Kenney, who’s work I thought was quite interesting. This series of images is to allow the person being photographed to have the freedom to write something personal or tell the viewer a secret whilst protecting their identity with a mask. This shows how people feel more comfortable revealing something about themselves anonymously, because other people will possibly judge.

Just like my final shoot for this project, both Lauren and myself have looked into how other peoples emotions and feelings. I have looked into how girls feel they should look, whereas Lauren has worked with other peoples opinions and things that perhaps they would not tell others, but haven their identity hidden, they now feel comfortable with being honest.
