This morning we spoke about how artists and photographers show different religions within their work. I then went on to do my own bit of research and i came across Steve McCurry's work. One piece of his work that caught my eye was his image called 'Afghan Girl'.The image was taken in a refugee camp in Pakistan. I find the image sears the heart, her eyes, which are sea green are so haunting and in them you can read the tragedy of a land drainned by war.

Piss Christ 1987- Andreas Serrano

Piss Christ is a 1987 photograph by the American artist and photographer Andres Serrano. It depicts a small plastic crucifix submerged in a glass of the artist's urine. Whe Serrano displayed the image, it was widely seen as disrespectful to Christians. It eventually earned the condemnation of conservative U.S senators and sparked debates around the issue of public art funding.
