The Others
My Shoot Plan
For my photoshoot for this project, i want to work around the idea of girls feeling they have to be something they are not, which relates to the idea of identity. I want a group of girls to select images of what they see as 'perfect', which they will then hold over their face, like a mask. This concept is very important to me as so many girls try so hard to be perfect and be something they are not, as i can relate to this when i was younger. There are so many girls that do not realise their natural beauty because we feel expected to look like what you see on the front cover of a magazine.
I want to shoot outside in the city, somewhere that will add texture to my images, so possibly a brick wall, creating an urban feel to my images, which links back to diversity within Plymouth. However, if the weather is not on my side, I will have to settle with working in the cove studio, as I am running out of time to shoot. Although, my skills within the studio could be worked on, so i would not mind if I had to shoot in the studio.
I will use a reflector when shooting as this will help to reflect the light, i could use this both in the studio and out in the city. When thinking about whether I will shoot portrait or landscape, I want to experiment and see what I feel looks best. As for my model, I want to use a female model, with long hair.
