David Hockney-Joiners
Today in class, we were looking at work by David Hockney. In the early 1980's, Hockney began creating photocollages, which he called 'joiners'. Using a variety of polaroid snaps of a single subject, Hockney created a patchwork, to make a compostie image. Hockney linked his work to cubism, discussing the way human vision works.

I then created my own Hockney 'joiner' from home. I used my younger sister to experiment working in the style of David Hockney. However, i wanted to use her whole body in my image, instead of just the face.
