My Visual Diary- Week 3
Giving A Helping Hand...
Today i headed up to Tavistock to help a friend with some photographs which she was wanting to send of to a modelling agency, in London that she was applying for. We managed to shoot in a property which is having work done to it, so the wallpaper was ripped and the floorboards were bare, but i thought it was such a good environment to shoot in.

This photograph of Phoebe's silhouette was my favourite shot from our shoot together. I love silhouette shots as i think they are a wonderful way to convey drama, mystery, emotion. To me silhouette photographs stand out because of their combination of their simplicity, but also their story that they convey. I love the way they do not give the viewer a clear picture of everything, but leave part of the image up to their imaginations.

My favourite photographer that specialises in silhouette photography is T J Scott. T J Scott shows us how powerful sillhouette photographs can be, with his spectacular and well executed shots. By creating a sharp contract between his subject and the background , he masterfully brings out the drama and mystery of a scene. Here is my favourite shot by T J Scott.
