My Visual Diary-Week 2
Depth Of Field
Today in college we walked up to the park where we looked at depth of field. Depth of field is the amount of distance between the nearest and farthest objects that appear in acceptably sharp focus in a photograph. Today i learnt that:
A large aperture = Small f-number = Shallow (small) depth of field
Small aperture = Larger f-number = Deeper (larger) depth of field
Here is an example of a photo taken at a wide aperture of F4.0

I definitley prefer using a wide aperture, as i like the way all the focus is on the flowers, it means you do not get distracted from other parts of the photograph.
